A need of implement a new IT system

Due to a plan to switch off Lotus servers, the Client’s IT department decided to withdraw the high-maintenance Lotus-based IT solution used for the lubrication management. As a consequence, there arose a need to design, develop and implement a new system duplicating the functionality of the previous solution, as well as taking into account new functionalities specified by the Client.

Solution - Smarg

The solution included the deployment and implementation of an advanced system for lubrication management in one of EDF’s Polish power plants. Examples of the functionalities of the system include:

  • creating schedules for the maintenance and lubrication of equipment
  • automatic generation of service cards, sent to an external company conducting equipment maintenance and lubrication services.

From the IT perspective

The following technology used to implement the solution: ASP.NET Web Forms. The system uses the MS SQL Server 2008 R2 database and has been integrated with SharePoint and Active Directory systems used by EDF Polska.
