About the role

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for designing, deploying and managing cloud-based big data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure technologies and services, as well as experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.

Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based big data platforms using Microsoft Azure.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data pipelines and processing workflows.
Implementing automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment and configuration of big data applications on Azure.
Monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of big data platforms on Azure.
Developing and maintaining documentation for deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based big data platforms on Azure.
Continuously evaluating new Azure technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the big data platform.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure technologies and services.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and NoSQL databases.
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
Strong scripting skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, Bash.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
