About client

Sanok Rubber Company is a European leader in the production of modern rubber, rubber-metal, and composite products. For nearly a century, it has been delivering solutions that drive the development of key industrial sectors worldwide.

The company has been present on the market for over 90 years and currently operates globally across 10 countries.

About project

The client approached us with the challenge of a complex data integration between their ERP system (SAP), MES and APS systems, and a number of other (including internal) applications.

The existing data exchange architecture was dispersed, difficult to maintain, lacked monitoring, and was prone to errors resulting from manual handling.

Solution

The 3Soft team built a data integration bus that frees Sanok Rubber Company from dependence on external vendors’ systems, eliminating vendor lock-in risk and ensuring greater flexibility for future development.

The solution automates the flow of data related to production orders and operational processes between key systems.

Additionally, the integration bus consolidates several extensive data sources in real time, enabling continuous process monitoring and rapid response to operational changes.

As a result, all systems communicate seamlessly, and manual operations – previously burdened with the risk of errors and delays – have been virtually eliminated.

Implementation and development

As part of the project, the 3Soft team focused on organizing and standardizing communication between systems from various vendors, which previously required building and maintaining multiple different interfaces.

A key area of work was eliminating inefficiencies and errors caused by manual handling and the absence of unified monitoring.

The diagram shows the flow of information between the systems: MES, SAP, TETA HR, QAPS, and CMMS.
MES receives the production plan and sends production reporting to SAP. MES exchanges data on workstations and routings (including alternatives) with both QAPS and CMMS. TETA HR provides the pool of available employee competencies to MES and QAPS. QAPS supplies information on the availability of materials, raw materials, and packaging. SAP sends production and planned orders to QAPS.
How does it work?

Results

Real-time integration of multiple data sources made it possible to build a complete inventory of interfaces and create a solid foundation for future business-driven initiatives—especially in the area of advanced analytics and machine learning (Artificial Intelligence).

The implementation of the integration bus enabled:

  • significant increase in system stability,
  • automation of real-time data flows,
  • continuous supervision of all interfaces.

“The project at Sanok Rubber Company demonstrated how much business value comes from a well-organized and stable integration architecture. Thanks to close cooperation with the client, we were able to create a solution that not only automates key processes but, above all, increases the transparency and reliability of data exchange across the entire organization.”
