Supervisory board
Przemysław Danowski
Chairman of the Supervisory Board
He joined the Warsaw Equity Group in 2009 and has been a board member since 2015. Prior to joining WEG, he worked at Trigon Group from 2006 to 2009, where he was responsible for various M&A and IPO projects – focusing mainly on the high tech and media industries.
He holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). He has also passed a Level III CFA exam issued by the CFA Institute.
Responsible for developing the organization’s investment strategy as well as providing support to businesses in the company portfolio. His main focus is to increase the value of the WEG portfolio – with 10+ investments in tech companies, numerous M&As as well as IPOs under his belt.
His passions: travel, music, hiking.
Gunnar Westling
Member of the Supervisory Board
A holder of master’s degree in physics from the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) at Lund University. His approach is innovative because he knows how to combine vertical thinking with lateral thinking. He has had many accomplishments in the IT industry, including successfully navigating his company through the dotcom crisis.
Privately, a husband and a father. Once crossed the North Atlantic Ocean on a sailing yacht.
Czesław Bartłomiej Martysz
Member of the Supervisory Board
Assistant professor at the Institute of Finance of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). Debt Capital Markets Office expert at Bank Pekao S.A. Experienced didactician and author or co-author of more than 30 scientific publications. Co-founder and member of Investhink – a think tank dedicated to promoting best financial market practices. Court expert in stock market manipulation.
His areas of research interest are market abuse (MAR), frauds & scams, financial markets, corporate finance, non-treasury bonds
Alexander Müller
Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board
A certified IT expert. His daily work involves preparing expert opinions for courts and other public authorities. He holds a degree in IT from the University of Hagen. He engages in political life as a supporter of the FDP party.
Privately, a husband and the father of four children. He has two passions: flying and playing instruments – the bass and the guitar. Inspired mainly by Mike Oldfield’s music, particularly his early work.
Rafał Czechowski
Member of the Supervisory Board
Founder and CEO of Imago Public Relations – the most often awardedl communications consulting company in southern Poland, existing since 1998. Expert in crisis management and strategic PR, business communications coach and author of specialist publications in the field of communication.
In 2005-2007, he was the chairman of the Polish Public Relations Association, and a member of the PSPR Supervisory Board. He also held a seat in the Public Relations Ethics Council, of which he was a co-initiator. He is also a member of the International Public Relations Association.
Cezary Smorszczewski
Member of the Supervisory Board
Manager and investor with many years of experience. He worked, among others at PGNiG and PKN ORLEN. He has extensive experience in the banking sector. He was one of the founders of Alior Bank and a member of the management board of Bank Pekao S.A.
Later, he started his own consulting activity on the financial services and M&A market. Investor in FinTech and digital economy.
