Big Data Technology Warsaw Summit is over!

The 7th edition of Big Data Technology Warsaw Summit – one of the largest and most important data conferences in Poland – was held on 25 and 26 February 2021. 3Soft and Cloudera once again were the General Partners of the event.
The conference brought together experts in data science, artificial intelligence, data engineering, data monetization and cloud technologies. Online presentations were held by practitioners from renowned companies who shared their project experiences, interesting case studies, as well as tried and tested tips.
The speakers included Kamil Folkert, PhD, Chief Technology Officer at 3Soft, and Kamil Pochodaj, Senior Solutions Engineer at Cloudera, who gave a speech entitled “5 big data trends that redefine Edge to AI journey”. They talked, among other things, about the importance of disaggregation of compute and storage, advancements in stateful processing in Kubernetes, and growing role of cloud and real-time processing for businesses in Poland. During the presentation, Dr. Folkert also mentioned 3Soft’s latest product – OCCUBEE – an AI-based platform for forecasting sales in retail.

Michał Bochenek, Head of Architecture at 3Soft, and Kiryl Halozhyn, Solutions Engineer at Cloudera, hosted a roundtable session called “Distributed big data processing in the cloud – is Hadoop still an option?” The debate turned out to be very productive. There were over a dozen attendees who eagerly shared their opinions and thoughts.

The participants of the Big Data Technology Warsaw Summit could also visit the virtual booth of 3Soft and Cloudera and communicate with the representatives of both companies.
